Young attorneys will reach across generations Saturday to offer free legal services to Utahns age 60 and over as part of the kickoff event for the Utah State Bar's weeklong Law Day celebration.

The event, called Serving Our Seniors, will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Utah Law and Justice Center, 645 S. 200 East.

During that time, volunteers with the Young Lawyers Division of the Bar will provide free consultations to seniors and help individuals complete health care directive and power of attorney forms, according to a news release from the bar.

Law Day week will continue with an awards luncheon at the Little America Hotel on Wednesday, where law firms, attorneys and citizens who encourage the public's understanding of law will receive awards.

Seniors interested in attending Saturday's event are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 801-505-5609.
