An armed suspect is still at large after an early-morning robbery at a convenience store in Taylorsville on Monday.

The Unified Police Department said a man walked into a 7-Eleven store at 3180 W. 5400 South at about 2:35 a.m. and pulled a handgun on the clerk, demanding money. The suspect fled on foot after the clerk complied. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s wearing a black sweat shirt, blue jeans and a dark, multi-colored hat. He also was carrying a shoulder bag in which he kept the pistol used in the robbery. The weapon is described as a two-tone colored handgun. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity should call the Unified Police Department at 801-743-5843.
