Community matters • A free public forum on mental health will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1131 S. Main St. The event, part of the church's Community Matters! series, will cover recognizing mental illness and treatment options. Professionals from Davis Behavioral Health, the Veterans Administration, private clinics and the Bountiful Police Department will participate.

Spring cleaning • Centerville has scheduled a free green waste pickup on Monday, April 22. Bland Tree Experts Inc. will be going down the city streets only once so place clean green items — such as tree trimmings, bushes and leaves (but no grass clippings or sod) — by the curb the evening before. Do not bag or box the items.

Recognizing those who give • Utah residents will be able to cast votes through April 30 for the state's Outstanding Senior Volunteer. Senior volunteers who have given more than 15 hours of their time per week can be nominated for recognition and a $500 award. Cast your vote at SalutetoSeniorService.com.
