A man died Sunday after he lost control of his vehicle in Duchesne County and crashed.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers said Ronald Perry, 42, of Oroville, Calif., was found dead inside the crushed passenger compartment of his vehicle's cab about 5 p.m. Sunday on County Road 181, near Roosevelt.

Troopers said the man was last seen alive about 1 a.m. Sunday, but authorities weren't sure how long he had been dead before someone discovered the wreckage.

Troopers said he was wearing a seat belt, but died because his vehicle was crushed.

An autopsy has been ordered.
