Green thumb • Get the soil between your fingers. Neighborhood House Community Garden is accepting applications until April 16 for 10-foot by four-foot plots. The garden is located at 1050 W. 500 South beside the Neighborhood Children Center. To pick up an application visit the front desk or call 801-363-4589.

Native species • Help native pollinators and save water by using native plants in your landscape. Learn the secrets of native species propagation in this hands-on workshop April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way. Preregister at 801-587-5433.
