A semi-trailer rig rolled on U.S. 6 near west-central Utah's Little Sahara Recreation Area Tuesday morning, injuring its driver and closing down the highway in both directions for about two hours.

Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said the rig was hauling wooden shipping pallets when it toppled just before 8 a.m. The wreckage forced closure of both eastbound and westbound lanes about 20 miles south of Eureka.

No other vehicles or injuries were reported.

Johnson said the driver was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital, but his injuries were not believed to have been life-threatening.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
