Both southbound and northbound traffic along Interstate 15 from 2900 South to 4500 South slowed to a crawl due to crashes during the early Tuesday morning commute.

The Utah Highway Patrol said at least six vehicles were involved in three separate crashes — two of them just before 7 a.m. and a third about 8 a.m. One minor injury was reported.

The crashes restricted rush hour traffic to a couple lanes while wreckage was being cleared.

UHP Cpl. Todd Johnson said troopers were working to get vehicles moved off to the shoulders to allow commuter flow on to additional lanes. That had largely been accomplished by 8:30 a.m.
