The principal of an elementary school in West Valley City has been accused of viewing pornography at his school, according to charges filed Friday.
Gearld L. Wright Elementary principal Chad Allen Christman, 51, allegedly admitted to police during a Feb. 20 interview that he had been accessing a pornographic website in his office through his work-issued smartphone.

Granite School District police investigated the incident and submitted the evidence that led to the charges being filed. On Friday, Christman was charged in 3rd District Court with accessing pornographic material on school property, a class A misdemeanor.
A $2,500 arrest warrant for Christman also was issued on Friday.
