A Provo man has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old and for having a nude picture of a 16-year-old on his phone.
Someone reported to the Provo police that a 19-year-old man allegedly had been having sex with a 13-year-old. Investigators interviewed the man on Thursday, and he allegedly admitted he and the girl had engaged in sex at least six times from November to January, according to a probable cause statement filed in 4th District Court.
The man’s sister also brought his phone to the police, who found a picture of a topless 16-year-old Provo girl on the device. The man admitted to the police that the 16-year-old had sent him the picture and had asked him to delete it, but he did not, according to the probable casue statement.
Police booked the man into Utah County jail on Thursday on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor and six counts of rape of a child.
The statement does not detail how the man knew the girls.
