Montoya said officers had been alerted to a suspicious vehicle parked at the motel, and they subsequently located and arrested the couple in a room there.
The suspects did not resist arrest.
The couple were booked into Salt Lake County Jail on suspicion of first-degree felony aggravated robbery and other charges stemming from the robberies of a Subway sandwich shop on March 13, and the holdup two days later of a Baskin-Robbins ice cream store.
