Three people were injured, one critically, in a head-on collision Thursday morning on Highway 198 about midway between Spanish Fork and Salem.
Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said a Chevrolet van driven by Aaron Moorman, 33, of Springville, was southbound when it crossed the center line about 8:10 a.m. and plowed into a Nissan sedan driven by Lindsay Dyches, 36, of Utah County.

Moorman, who was cited for driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and Dyches were transported by ground ambulance to a hospital in serious condition.
Dyches’ 7-year-old daughter, Presley Dyches, was flown to Provo Regional Medical Center, where she remained in critical condition Thursday afternoon. Johnson said the girl’s vital signs had been stabilized.
Though snow pelted the region early Thursday, weather was not considered a factor in the accident, UHP said.
Moorman has been convicted of at least 15 traffic violations since 2000, including open container in a vehicle, speeding and driving on a suspended license, according to a search of court records.
