Orem police are looking for a man who held up an American West bank branch office late Tuesday morning.
Orem police Sgt. Craig Martinez said the robbery occurred about 10:05 a.m. at 1534 S. State. The suspect approached a teller, handed her a note demanding money and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Martinez said the suspect did not display a weapon. Described as a white male, 5-foot-7, with brown hair and wearing a surgical mask, black beanie and black jacket, the suspect was last seen on foot heading westbound from the bank.
Police initially closed the area of the bank to motorists as they searched for the man, but he eluded capture.
