The Salt Lake City Police are looking for a man who came into a Seagull Bookstore on Monday and used a weapon to demand money.

The suspect entered the store, located at 1140 Brickyard Road, at about 1:40 p.m. The man then left the store on foot. Citing the ongoing investigation, police would not say Monday what kind of weapon the man used in the robbery.

Surveillance photos released by police show a white man with glasses, a purple baseball cap, light-colored pants and a dark button-up coat. He has brown hair with sideburns and a goatee. The pictures also show the man carrying a dark green messenger bag.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call police at 801-799-3000. To stay anonymous, tipsters can also use a cell phone to text TIPSSLCPD plus the message to 274637.
