On June 27, 62-year-old Denis Stuhff was on Redwood Road, waiting in a left turn lane to get onto Temple Lane (10200 South). But Garcia rear-ended Stuhff, pushing him into the intersection where Stuhff’s Ford Taurus was hit by a Ford F350, according to the charges. He later died at the hospital from his injuries.
Garcia and his three passengers were also taken to the hospital with injuries.
Investigators found no signs that Garcia had braked or swerved the Chrysler Cirrus he was driving to avoid rear-ending Stuhff, the charges add. A records check showed Garcia was driving on a suspended license, according to the charges.
