A woman was killed in a Monday afternoon two-vehicle collision in southwest Utah, on a highway between St. George and Enterprise.
The Utah Highway Patrol reported Monday that the driver of a Toyota Yaris made a left turn on State Road 18 in front of a pickup towing a flatbed trailer when the pickup slammed into the car before it was able to stop. Both vehicles slid off the edge of the highway’s southbound lane. The pickup pushed the car through a fence and into a tree, with the impact on the driver’s side. The driver, identified as 60-year-old Nancy Harrison of Central, was killed in the crash, UHP said.

The T-bone style collision occurred just after 5 p.m. Monday, about 26 miles north of St. George. Officials said Harrison was wearing a seatbelt and the pickup’s driver, who suffered minor injuries to the chest and legs, was not. The driver of the pickup refused transport to the hospital.
