Snowbasin demo day to benefit adaptive sports
First Published Mar 07 2013 10:54 am • Last Updated Mar 08 2013 02:14 pm

Burton snowboards and skis from 11 manufacturers will be available for testing March 16 when the Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation holds its On-Snow Demo Day & Charity Raffle at Snowbasin Resort near Ogden.

Skis and snowboards may be rented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a $20 donation to the foundation, said resort spokesman Jason Dyer.

Manufacturers will have tents adjacent to the base-level Earl’s Lodge patio. To encourage more participation, Dyer said Snowbasin will honor weekday-only passes on that Saturday. Proceeds will help the foundation buy specialized training equipment and provide scholarships for needy disabled athletes in northern Utah.

Additional information on adaptive skiing or purchasing tickets for the drawings may be obtained by calling 801-695-7074 or going to snowbasinadaptive.org.
