An 11-year-old boy died Wednesday in Duchesne after a semi-trailer hit him.
Dennis "DJ" John Wayne Weaver was riding his bicycle on the southbound shoulder of State Road 87 just north of Duchesne. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, two semis were traveling south on the road, one following the other. About 7:30 a.m., after the first truck passed Dennis, he rode into the lane of travel, in front of the second truck. UHP reports that the driver could not avoid the boy, and struck him.
