In another sign of the oncoming spring, rain — and possibly some snow, but mainly rain — is coming to Utah.
While southwestern Utah is forecast for a balmy 70 degrees, or close to it, through Monday, the Wasatch Front is expected to be 30 degrees chillier.
Rain is expected to arrive Sunday and may turn to snow before it tapers out during the night. But the National Weather Service expects little to no accumulation — except in Logan, which may see half an inch of snow.
The wind and moisture will also clear out the inversion that returned Saturday.
The Uintas remain at a "considerable" risk for snowslides, according to the Utah Avalanche Center. The center also warns that the Moab, Skyline and Logan-area mountains have a "moderate" risk for slides, while the Salt Lake, Ogden and Provo regions have downgraded to "low" risk areas.
Salt Lake City's high Sunday was to be 45 degrees, dropping to 40 on Monday; Ogden was forecast for 42 and 36 degrees, respectively; Provo, 48 and 39; Logan, 38 and 34; Wendover, 45 and 39; Duchesne, 44 and 38; Cedar City, 53 and 47; St. George, 70 and 69; and Moab, 58 and 54 degrees.
