Riverdale police Wednesday were investigating the discovery of an unidentified woman’s body outside a four-plex.
Lt. James Ebert said the owner of the four-plex showed up about 9:30 a.m. to perform some renovation work and discovered the body lying next to the building. The four-plex was unoccupied because of the ongoing renovation.

Ebert said it did not appear the woman’s death was the result of foul play. Rather, he said, it appeared she might have died from exposure. Authorities estimated she likely died about 4 or 5 hours before her body was discovered.
Police said they’re still trying to identify the woman. No one has been reported missing recently.
The woman did not appear to be a transient.
