Cedar City police are asking for the public’s help locating a man who robbed a Mountain America Credit Union.
Officers said a man walked into the credit union about 1:30 p.m. at 1701 W. Royal Hunte Drive and handed the teller a note demanding money. The man received an undisclosed amount of cash and left, according to a news release.

Cedar Middle School, which is near the credit union, was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The robber was described as white, in his 50s with gray hair. He was last seen wearing faded blue jeans, a green shirt and a light green baseball-style cap. He was dressed in a green coat with a tan collar.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 435-586-2956.
