A 50-year-old Ogden man was struck and killed by a car Monday night while crossing a street near a homeless shelter in Ogden.
The man was crossing Wall Avenue from east to west near the 26th Street intersection when he was hit by a southbound vehicle, Ogden police Lt. Will Cragun said. It’s not clear whether the man was in the crosswalk when he was hit.

The man died at the scene. His name was being withheld Monday night pending the notification of family, Cragun said.
Police believe the man may have been living at the St. Anne’s Center, a homeless shelter about 200 yards from the scene of the accident.
The 22-year-old male driver, also of Ogden, was cooperating with police.
The cause of the accident remained under investigation Monday night and it was not immediately clear whether the driver would be cited, Cragun said.
