A car that became stuck on the rails forced commuters on the TRAX light rail train’s Green Line to transfer to buses for about an hour Friday morning.
Utah Transit Authority spokesman Chad Saley said there were no injuries from the 7:15 a.m. incident at 3070 S. 2200 West in West Valley City. However, the car was initially left high-centered on the tracks, blocking both directions of travel.

By 8 a.m., the car had been removed and normal TRAX travel was renewed.
Saley said the incident initially had been reported to him as a TRAX-car crash, but that later was learned to not be true.
