Get your entries ready • The Taylorsville Arts Council is accepting entries for its 2013 art show from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, and Wednesday, Feb. 27. There are youth, young adult, adult and senior age divisions and categories for fine art, needlework and "other," including photography and pottery. Entry of up to three pieces per person per category is free. The show will be held 3 to 8 p.m. March 1 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 2. Visit http://bit.ly/XXAVDb for an entry form and details.

Music with a flair • The Taylorsville-SLCC Orchestra will perform an "Italian & Latin Flair" concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Taylorsville High School, 5225 S. Redwood Road. There is a suggested donation of $5.

West Valley City

Keeping a record • The Historical Society is seeking photographs and stories from the descendants of the first settlers "over Jordan." The organization wants to add pictures, especially of people and structures, and family histories to its archives and collections.
