The Utah Division of Air Quality says Sunday will be a "yellow," or unhealthy day, to be outside in Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Uintah counties; while red, no-burn alerts have been issued for Cache, Box Elder and Weber counties.
On Monday, air quality for Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Uintah counties air quality is expected to remain in the "yellow" range, with Box Elder and Weber counties improving to "yellow." Cache County, however, will again be "red" for the holiday.
Meanwhile, gusty north winds will bring a chance of snow to the Wasatch Front valleys on Sunday, but accumulations are expected to be less than one inch, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.
Monday will be mostly sunny in northern Utah, with highs in the upper-30s.
It will be sunny in southern Utah on Sunday and Monday, with a highs in the low 60s in the St. George area.
The risk for dangerous snow slides has dropped as well compared with Saturday’s "considerable" risk in some areas, with the Utah Avalanche Center pegging Sunday at a "moderate" level across all regions.
Salt Lake City is expected to have a high of 39 degrees Sunday and 37 on Monday; Ogden 37 and 34 degrees, respectively; Provo 42 and 38; Logan 35 and 30; Wendover 38 and 32; Duchesne 38 and 31; Cedar City 49 and 46; St. George 63 and 61; and Moab 50 and 44 degrees.
