Storm restricts travel on some Utah roads

Winter road alerts:

Salt Lake County:

Little Cottonwood Canyon was closed at 6:30 a.m. for two hours of avalanche control work. Afterward, both Big and Little Cottonwood canyons were restricted to four-wheel drive or chained vehicles.

Iron County:

SR 143 was closed above Brian Head to Mammoth Creek due to severe road weather conditions.
