Salt Lake City police are enlisting the public in their efforts to nab a bank robber.
The holdup occurred 4 p.m. Tuesday after a man entered the U.S. Bank branch at 1575 S. Main St. He went to a teller, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The teller surrendered an unspecified amount of money and the robber fled on foot.

Witnesses described the robber as 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a loose plaid coat with a gray hood, a green baseball cap, black sunglasses, black gloves and blue jeans.
Anyone who recognizes the man from accompanying bank security camera photos or has information is asked to call police at 801-799-3000. Informants also may text TIPSLCPD plus information to CRIMES (274637). Reference: case #13-10955.
