Unified Fire Investigators have given up trying to figure out what caused a blaze that destroyed an all-terrain vehicle and damaged an adjacent home in Magna.
"The investigators have determined that the cause is ‘undetermined,’" UFA Capt. Clint Mecham said Tuesday.

Mecham said the ATV, which was underneath an awning attached to the back of the home near 3100 South on Elmer Drive (8070 West), may have been origin spot for the blaze, and at least helped fuel the fire early Monday morning.
The family inside the house, alerted by smoke detectors, was able to escape unharmed.
