Here’s your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Alpine School District Board of Education » Will choose the new name for the middle school in Eagle Mountain; Tuesday, Jan. 8, 6 p.m., 575 N. 100 East, American Fork. View the Alpine agenda.

Davis County Commission » Will hear a request to adopt the Davis County Emergency Operations Plan & Major Incident Response Plan; Tuesday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m., Davis County Administrative Office Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Draper City Council » will consider approving an agreement with the Utah Transit Authority for Bunny Bradley Trail general license. It will also take action on a request from the Utah Transit Authority for three easements on city property. The meeting will take place Jan. 8 at 7 p.m., 1020 East Pioneer Road. Highland City Council » Will consider appointing Mayor Ritchie to the Utah Valley Dispatch Special Service District that was created in 2008; Tuesday, Jan. 8, 7 p.m., 5400 W. Civic Center Drive. View the Highland agenda.

Holladay Planning Commission » Will hold training at 5:30 p.m. followed by updates on items currently in the development review process; Tuesday, Jan. 8, Municipal Center, 4580 S. 2300 East, Holladay. View the Holladay agenda.
