Unified Police are asking for the public’s help to locate the gunman who robbed a Salt Lake County convenience store early Wednesday.
UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal said an employee of the 7-Eleven at 2931 E. 4430 South was emptying trash outside the store about 12:30 a.m. when he was approached by a man wearing a ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt and dark clothing. The man pulled a silver handgun from his pants and demanded money.

The employee, at gunpoint, went inside and got an unspecified amount of money from the cash register. The robber took the cash and fled on foot.
Hoyal said UPD officers, assisted by a police dog, searched the area but were unable to locate the robber.
UPD asks anyone with information to call 801-743-7000.
