Two people were taken to the hospital after a series of three separate crashes plagued drivers Tuesday night in Davis County.
Temperatures in the teens formed black ice on Interstate 215 and helped contribute to a chain of crashes that began around 7:30 p.m., according to Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson.

Two separate single-vehicle accidents happened near the convergence of Legacy Parkway and I-215 southbound. There was also a third accident that involved a car, truck and a semitrailer rig.
Johnson said although ice was on the road, drivers were still driving too fast for the present conditions.
