Police have identified the second victim in a homicide that left a man and a woman dead before someone set fire to their Salt Lake County house earlier this month.
Police say that Ralph Salazar, 59, and Alice Griego, 55, were shot and killed by an unidentified person on Dec. 14 while the two were inside Salazar’s house on 2811 E. Ksel Drive (9457 South) in Granite. The room was then set on fire using an accelerant, according to investigators from the Unified Police Department.

Firefighters called to the home discovered the bodies while they were putting out the blaze, which was mainly contained to the master bedroom. The fire hampered police efforts to investigate the deaths. Salazar was identified a few days after the fire, and Griego was identified on Wednesday, more than a week later.
The case is still under investigation, and police are still looking for the killer. Anyone with information about the case is urged to call 801-743-5915.
