The Utah Grizzlies have agreed to terms with Los Angeles Kings forward Trevor Lewis, a Salt Lake City native.

With National Hockey League players locked out by management in a labor dispute, the 25-year-old Lewis is expected to make his debut with the minor league Grizzlies this weekend, wearing his familiar No. 22. Utah hosts the Ontario Reign on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

Lewis, a Brighton High School product, helped Los Angeles defeat New Jersey 4-2 in the Stanley Cup finals in June, becoming the first Utahn to have his name inscribed on the trophy. A center on the Kings' third line, Lewis scored two goals in Los Angeles' 6-1 victory in the decisive Game 6. He spent Aug. 30 with more than 6,000 fans at Maverik Center, sharing his only day with the trophy with them.

Lewis is expected to sign with the Grizzlies on Thursday morning. Pending ECHL approval, he will be introduced to fans and media at Maverik Center at 5 p.m. Thursday, and practice with the team at 7 p.m.
