Winds topple historic Park City home under renovation

Emergency crews in Park City spent much of Sunday morning attempting to stabilize an historic home that was knocked over by strong winds.

Kurt Simister, deputy fire marshal, said the home at 335 Woodside had been jacked up above the foundation so it could be renovated. But sometime overnight the strong winds toppled the home back into the foundation, where it sat perched half in and half out.

He said no one was injured and there was no risk to health or safety of nearby residents.

Emergency crews closed to the street briefly Sunday as they removed propane tanks.
