A woman was wounded in the arm when bullets from a drive-by shooting slammed into her Murray home early Wednesday morning.

Murray police spokesman Kenny Bass confirmed the incident, which came in as a 911 call about 12:30 a.m. at 865 E. Arrowhead Lane (5110 South). At least two gunshots were reported as being fired from a large tan-colored SUV, which then sped from the scene.

The woman was transported to the hospital for treatment and released.

Bass said the bullet grazed the woman's arm, having passed through a window in the home. Another bullet fired from the SUV impacted on an exterior brick surface.

Bass said the investigation was just beginning and detectives did not immediately have a motive for the crime or specific suspects.
