A 70-year-old Tooele woman in a Honda Accord was driving south on Pinehurst. She stopped at a stop sign and was turning right onto Vine as she hit the bicyclist, Day said.
The intersection has only one streetlight and is not well lit, he said. Police are not sure which direction the bicyclist was traveling.
Emergency personnel pronounced the cyclist dead in an ambulance before arriving at a local hospital, Day said. The accident remains under investigation.
