Two people managed to walk away relatively unscathed after a helicopter they were in crashed at the Logan Cache Airport Saturday afternoon.
Jeff Curtis, assistant chief of the Logan Police Department, said a flight instructor and a student crashed while they were practicing landing drills at the airport. Medical responders treated and released the two at the scene, Curtis said.

The helicopter itself sustained signifcant damage, including a broken tail piece. Curtis said he wasn’t sure Saturday afternoon what exactly caused the crash or how high above the ground the helicopter was when it went down.
The Federal Aviation Administration and Logan police will continue to investigate, Curtis said. Twitter: @KimballBennion
