Your town in brief: Bountiful hires new city manager

New hire • The City Council has appointed Gary Hill as city manager. Hill previously was city manager of West Point. He replaces Tom Hardy, who served in the spot for 31 years and who left to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Washington, D.C., area.


Clothing drive • The Youth City Council is sponsoring a "Suits for Success" men's professional clothing drive through Dec. 21. The drop-off point for the items – suits, dress shirts, ties, shoes and belts – is the third floor of the city building, 55 S. State St. Visit http://bit.ly/VLVVQl for details.
