An alert Provo police officer’s decision to stop a car that appeared to be trolling a parking garage paid off with the arrests of two suspects wanted on arrest warrants — along with booty from a recent vehicle burglary.
Provo police Chief Rick Gregory said the men, ages 31 and 24, were spotted driving slowly through the south Brigham Young University campus underground parking structure about 3:45 a.m. Friday.

The officer observed the car passing "several empty parking stalls as it drove through the parking structure, and did not appear to be looking for a place to park," Gregory said on Monday.
"The patrolman stopped the vehicle after it exited the parking structure and identified the occupants" as being wanted on active warrants related to past alleged vehicle burglaries and drug offenses.
A subsequent search of the suspects’ vehicle turned up a CD player, music CDs, electronic cables, part of a female swimsuit, a wallet and artwork signed by a woman whose nearby car had been broken into, Gregory said.
The stolen items were returned to the owner and the suspects, both from Spanish Fork, were booked into Utah County jail on suspicion of vehicle burglary and driving on a suspended license.
They remained behind bars on Monday in lieu of about $9,000 bail each.
