Curry was driving his 2003 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound about 2 a.m. when he crossed into the path of the westbound semi. After the crash, both vehicles came to rest in the eastbound lane with the semi’s two trailers jack-knifed and blocking the highway completely.
The highway was closed for about four hours at the scene, seven miles east of Hanna, Wyo., in Carbon County.
The semi’s driver, a 61-year-old Colorado man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in Rawlins, Wyo.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation, the WHP said.
