A West Jordan man was upgraded Monday to serious condition, three days after a gunshot to the pelvis left him fighting for his life.
West Jordan police Officer J.C. Holt said the incident remained under investigation and there have been no arrests or charges filed.

Witnesses told police the 36-year-old man had been arguing with his girlfriend in a vehicle parked early Saturday morning outside his apartment complex at 3851 W. Cobble Ridge Drive (6960 South). A 24-year-old neighbor, out walking his dog, tried to intervene and ended up in a fight with the boyfriend.
The neighbor was carrying a handgun and at some point in the struggle the firearm discharged, wounding the boyfriend. Holt said the slug came close to puncturing the victim’s femoral artery.
The man initially was in critical condition, but on Monday he was "doing better and is expected to fully recover," Holt said.
The neighbor also went to the hospital for treatment of a facial cut sustained in the fight.
The woman was uninjured.
