Murray police are searching for two men who backed a white pickup truck up to a store early Sunday morning, then used a rope to make off with an ATM inside.

Surveillance video shows one of the men got out of a truck just after 5 a.m. and wrapped a tow rope around the door handles of the Tesoro Food Mart at 6785 S. State St., said Murray Sgt. Ross Huff.

The men ripped the door off its hinges and then hooked the rope up to the ATM inside the store and dragged the machine away. The truck went east out of the parking lot and dragged the ATM a short distance before loading it into the back of the truck, Huff said.

Only one man was seen on surveillance tapes. He is described as a white male in his mid- to late 40s with brown hair and an average build. He was wearing a red flannel shirt, Huff said.

No one had been apprehended as of Sunday night.
