Thanks to a tipster, Salt Lake City police have arrested a man they suspect of burglarizing at least a dozen Sugar House businesses.

Detectives arrested a 32-year-old man Friday on suspicion of third-degree felony burglary and class B misdemeanor theft, according to a news release.

Earlier this week, police released surveillance footage from a Nov, 20 burglary at Fishers Cyclery, at 900 E. 2175 South, one of the businesses in the area burglarized since early October. They hoped the release would generate a tip — and it did. Someone recognized the suspect in the video and called the police, leading to the arrest.

The Salt Lake City police wishes to thank the public for its assistance.
