An Eagle Mountain woman has died from injuries suffered in a weekend rollover accident near Fairfield, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Kaden Fraughton, 31, was driving east on State Road 73 between Fairfield and Cedar Fort at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday when she overcorrected after the car drifted off the road, crossed two lanes of traffic and rolled. Fraughton, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle, the UHP said.
Fraughton's 6-month-old son, who was also in the car, suffered only minor injuries. The child was properly restrained in a car seat, according to UHP.
A medical helicopter transported Fraughton to a Salt Lake City hospital in critical condition on Saturday. She died on Monday, UHP said.
The accident remains under investigation. Troopers believe driver fatigue may have been an issue. No other cars were involved in the accident.
