Unified Police Department investigators have released security camera images in hopes the public may help them identify and bring a bank robber to justice.

UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal said the suspect came into the Magna Wells Fargo branch office, at 8295 W. 3500 South, about 11 a.m. Monday. He handed a note to a teller claiming he had a weapon and demanding cash, though no gun was seen.

The clerk complied and the suspect — a 6-foot to 6-foot-2, 50 to 60 years old white man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark-rimmed glasses with an attached chain — fled the bank on foot.

Arriving officers searched the area but could not find the suspect.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the suspect is asked to call the UPD at 801-743-5863.
