Shootings involving police officers and other use-of-force incidents will be the subject of training sessions provided for law enforcement and government officials Tuesday and Wednesday by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office.

The sessions, which run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., are at the Larry H Miller Free Enterprise Center on Salt Lake Community College's Sandy campus, 9750 S. 300 West.

Taught by Force Science Institute, a research center, the training is designed to educate participants about the latest science and research in use-of-force situations.

Financial assistance for the training came from the Salt Lake District Attorney's office.
