The Uintah County Sheriff's Office has identified a teenage boy who died in a one-vehicle, weekend crash near Lapoint.

Chief Deputy John Larsen said 17-year-old Skyler Christensen, 17, of Fort Duchesne, died after his car slid off a dirt road and rolled about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. Christensen was ejected and died at the scene.

A boy passenger escaped with minor cuts and bruises.

Larsen said Christensen was believed to be driving at high speed and possibly under the influence of alcohol when the crash occurred on 4000 North near 9500 East.
