A fire at a Provo house Sunday caused about $350,000 in damage to the structure and valuables.

Provo Fire Battalion Chief Jeremy Craft said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The blaze started inside a walk-in closet in a bedroom Sunday morning. No one was home at the time.

The flames burned through a skylight inside the closet and damaged the trusses above. Extensive heat and ash damage to antiques in the home near 1300 North and 1500 East also accounted for the high monetary damage to the home, Craft said.

Flames and smoke were visible when firefighters responded to a 911 call. Craft said crews extinguished the fire in about 40 minutes and were able to contain the flames to the room of origin. No injuries were reported.
