The week will start with mild, mostly uneventful weather on Sunday and Monday.

A storm moving through the north end of the state creates a slight chance of rain in Logan on Sunday, but most northern Utahns can expect partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s for Sunday and Monday. Toward the south, high temperatures will remain in the warmer end of the 50s, and will reach the 60s near St. George.

Utahns across the state can expect a light, variable wind both days, peaking between 5 mph and 8 mph most places — up to 11 mph in Duchesne, according to the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake City will look for highs of 53 and 51 degrees on Sunday and Monday, respectively; Ogden 50 and 46; Provo 54 and 48; Logan 47 and 44; Wendover 49 and 43; Duchesne 51 and 45; Cedar City 58 and 54; St. George 66 and 65; and Moab 58 and 55.

A moderate risk for snowslides remains in effect on Sunday for Uintas-area mountains, primarily above the treeline, according to the Utah Avalanche Center. The center advises people to avoid steep, north-facing slopes in the upper elevations where fresh wind drifts may still be sensitive to the weight of a rider.

The Utah Department of Environmental Quality forecasts "green" or healthy air quality for Sunday and Monday.
