Here's your weekly roundup of what local city councils, school boards and other government entities are tackling during regularly scheduled meetings. All meetings are open to the public, and citizens are welcome to voice their opinions during designated times. If you do wish to speak at a particular meeting, you may need to sign up in advance.

Bountiful City Council » Will consider the appointment of a city manager; Tuesday, Nov. 27, 7 p.m., 790 S. 100 East, Bountiful. View the Bountiful agenda.

Clearfield City Council » Has canceled its Tuesday, Nov. 27, meeting. The next council meeting will be Dec. 11.

Clinton City Council » Will consider a proposed change to a zoning ordinance on required landscaping (this item was tabled at an earlier meeting) and recognize 7-year-old Jack Stevenson for his $1,000 donation to help support police dog Delta; Tuesday, Nov. 27, 7 p.m., 2267 N. 1500 West, Clinton. Davis County Commission • Will consider a budget change for new building construction; Tuesday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m., Davis County Administrative Office Building, 61 S. Main St., Farmington. View the Davis County agenda.

Salt Lake County Council • Will adopt a tentative 2013 budget near the late-morning end of a workshop that begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in Room 2003 of the North Building of the County Government Center, 2001 S. State.

South Weber City Council • Will consider changing two parcels at approximately 1200 E. South Weber Drive from Residential Low Moderate to Residential Moderate; Tuesday, Nov. 27, 5:30 p.m., 1600 E. South Weber Drive, South Weber. View the South Weber agenda.

West Valley City Council • Will hold a hearing on additional regulations for retail tobacco businesses; Tuesday, Nov. 27, 6:30 p.m., 3600 S. Constitution Blvd. (2700 West), West Valley City. View the West Valley City agenda.

Saratoga Springs City Council • and the planning commission will hold a joint work session at 6 p.m. to discuss the proposed location for the Alpine School District bus yard. The location, where busses would be housed for Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs is 200 West and 400 North in Saratoga Springs. The meeting will be held at city offices at 1307 N. Sandy City Council • will address resident concerns about possible increases in crime. City officials will talk about programs they have in place to encourage residents to watch out for crime and improve the appearance of yards.
