Courage, Utah: We're two-thirds of the way through the corporately-homogenized HalloThankMas holiday marathon and the weekend forecast offers some respite, too,
Along the Wasatch Front, a partly cloudy Saturday morning will give way to clear, crisp skies and high temperatures in the upper-50s. To the south, Utah's Dixie looks for highs in the upper-60s under sunny horizons.
If skiing is in your plans, know that the Utah Avalanche Center is urging caution on those snowy slopes. The Salt Lake, Provo, Logan and Ogden districts have earned a "low" risk rating for dangerous snowslides, while the Uintas are graded "moderate."
Air quality, too, will be great for an outdoors weekend. The Utah Division of Air Quality has hoisted its "Green," or healthy breathability pennants.
Salt Lake City expects a high Saturday of 59, up from Friday's forecast for 53 degrees; Ogden looks for 55 and 51, respectively; Provo 61 and 56; Logan 53 and 50; Wendover 52 and 45; Duchesne 53 and 50; Cedar City 63 and 60; St. George 70 and 71; and Moab 58 and 57 degrees.
